The United Arab Emirates has always been a hub for business and commerce, with the city of Dubai doing much to keep up since it first began building back in 1877. Once primarily focused on fishing and pearls, Dubai is now one of the most important commercial centres in the world - a 400-square mile free trade zone that is home to 20% of the global billion-dollar companies. This success, which dates back over a century, all seems very logical when factoring in the economic history of Dubai. A study recently conducted says that Dubai will likely rank among the richest cities in the world by 2030. The report, released by New World Wealth, looked at the projected growth of wealth in cities around the world and found that Dubai is expected to see a huge increase in the count of its 13 billionaires and 67,900 millionaires.
